Personal Terms Agreed:Tottenham Hotspur to Sell Player with a “Big Reputation”

Tottenham Hotspur’s Bryan Gil is moving closer to completing his desired move to La Liga side Girona.

Thus comes as little surprise, with Gil playing just 233 minutes last season and struggling to impress during his time in North London.

Tottenham Hotspur to Cut Losses with Bryan Gil
Bryan Gil Has His ‘Heart Set’ on Girona

Fabrizio Romano has revealed that “personal terms have been agreed” between Gil and Manchester City’s sister club, Girona. The player reportedly has “his heart set on a move” to the Spanish side, which is unsurprising. Girona finished an impressive third in La Liga last season and will be playing Champions League football this year, unlike Spurs.

Gil’s camp has informed the hierarchy that he wants to join Girona “at all costs.” Negotiations between the clubs are ongoing. The Spaniard, along with his fellow countryman Sergio Reguilon, was granted permission to skip the pre-season tour as he explores transfer opportunities.

What Can He Bring to Girona?

Girona is an exciting destination for Bryan Gil, and the club will be pleased with his arrival as well. Savio’s transfer to Manchester City this summer is a significant loss, as the Brazilian contributed ten assists and nine goals in La Liga last season, making him the second-highest contributor at the club.

A natural left-winger, Gil can directly replace Savio in the starting lineup. He may offer more technical ability and chance creation compared to the raw pace and energy of his predecessor. At just 23 years old, Gil has the potential to become a top-class player. Once shortlisted for the Golden Boy Award, he still has the chance to fulfill his “big reputation.”
