Here we go’ – Fabrizio Romano confirms Tottenham’s fourth signing of the summer

This morning, Duncan Castles of The Transfer Podcast and David Ornstein of The Athletic broke the news that Bournemouth had agreed to a record-breaking sale, sending Dominic Solanke to Tottenham Hotspur.

Paul O’Keefe and Gary Jacob later confirmed that Tottenham was set to pay around £60 million to secure the Bournemouth striker. However, it now seems the final price is slightly higher.

Here We Go – Dominic Solanke to Spurs

Fabrizio Romano has officially given his signature “here we go” to the deal, confirming that Solanke will join Tottenham on a six-year contract running until 2030. Spurs will pay a total of £65 million for the English striker, including add-ons, which matches the exact value of his release clause at Bournemouth.

Solanke is expected to travel to Hotspur Way shortly for his medical.

The striker becomes Tottenham’s fourth signing of the summer, following Timo Werner (on loan), Archie Gray, and Yang Min-hyuk.

Spurs Web Opinion:

And there it is! Tottenham has finally secured their new number nine. It appears Solanke will arrive at Hotspur Way to compete with Richarlison, rather than replace him.

Regardless of opinions on Solanke and his price tag, it’s clear that Postecoglou has gotten the player he wanted—and with 19 goals last season, it’s hard to argue with his choice.
