Watch: Slipknot Takes Fans on a Thrilling Time Warp to 1999 at Madison Square Garden: Review + Photos

Madison Square Garden, one of the most iconic venues in the world, was transformed into a chaotic playground of heavy metal madness on Monday, August 12th, as Iowa’s own Slipknot brought their “Here Comes The Pain” tour to New York City.

The tour, a celebration of the 25th anniversary of their groundbreaking 1999 self-titled album, was a nostalgic journey back to the raw, unfiltered energy that first catapulted Slipknot into the limelight. With support from rising metal acts Knocked Loose and Orbit Culture, the night was a full-blown tribute to the ferocity and intensity of metal music.

Orbit Culture Sets the Stage with a Powerful Opening

The night kicked off with Swedish melodic death metal outfit Orbit Culture, who took the stage with a fierce determination to set the tone for what was to come. Touring in support of their latest album, Descent, Orbit Culture wasted no time in captivating the crowd with their heavy riffs and thunderous drumming. The band opened with the title track from their new album, instantly drawing in those fans who had arrived early and were eager to experience the night’s festivities.
