Tottenham ‘ready to offer’ over €30m – Insistence Spurs have to improve bid for signing

Last Wednesday, UOL reported that Tottenham Hotspur are preparing to make an offer for AS Monaco’s Vanderson.

Three days ago, Brazilian journalist Bruno Andrade revealed that Spurs are preparing a bid of approximately €32 million for the right-back.

On Monday, Foot Mercato suggested that AS Monaco is expecting the 23-year-old’s departure, as PSV Eindhoven’s Jordan Teze is set to join the Ligue 1 side.

However, according to L’Equipe, Teze’s arrival may not necessarily impact Vanderson’s future, despite Tottenham’s interest. In other words, Monaco doesn’t view the 23-year-old Dutchman as a direct replacement for the Brazilian international. This doesn’t rule out the possibility of Vanderson leaving during this transfer window.

Ange Postecoglou’s team has shown significant interest in the South American and is reportedly ‘ready to offer’ more than €30 million to secure his services, according to the report.

As of Monday, Monaco had not received an official offer from Tottenham or any other club. L’Equipe states that Monaco will only consider letting the fullback leave if they receive a ‘substantial offer,’ though they haven’t specified the exact amount needed to convince them.

Earlier this year, Vanderson signed a new contract extending until 2028. UOL previously reported that Monaco is hoping to earn €40 million from his sale, meaning Spurs, who are ready to offer over €30 million, may need to increase their bid.

It remains unclear whether Tottenham is prepared to invest around €40 million, unless they decide to offload one of their current right-backs, Pedro Porro or Djed Spence.
