ATP ranking after Sinner doping scandal: He has points deducted, here’s what it means for Novak

 

Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic remains in second place in the latest ATP rankings released today, with Italy’s Jannik Sinner still holding the top spot.

Carlos Alcaraz of Spain is ranked third with 7,360 points, followed by Germany’s Alexander Zverev in fourth and Russia’s Daniil Medvedev in fifth.

Russian player Andrey Rublev is currently ranked sixth, while Poland’s Hubert Hurkacz, Norway’s Casper Ruud, Bulgaria’s Grigor Dimitrov, and Australia’s Alex de Minaur round out the top ten.

Among other Serbian players, Miomir Kecmanovic has dropped one spot to 54th in the world with 940 points, while Dusan Lajovic holds steady at 66th with 811 points.

Laslo Djere has slipped from 100th to 109th, accumulating 531 points, and Hamad Medjedovic is ranked 137th with 431 points.

The next ATP rankings will be released in two weeks, following the US Open, which begins today in New York. Djokovic will be defending his title at the final Grand Slam of the season.
