The street circuit through the Spanish capital replaces the classic Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. However, the race in Barcelona will not immediately disappear from the Formula 1 calendar after this season. In 2026, the race will be organized alongside the race in Madrid under a name that has yet to be announced.
