A new report has surfaced stating that Abrams has decided to stick with Georgia and cut ties with Michigan, Recently Confirmed His Commitment

October marks the beginning of “flip season” in college football recruiting—a period when committed prospects across the country start reconsidering their decisions and exploring other programs. It’s a tense time for teams like Georgia, which is working to hold onto its current class.

Most of Georgia’s commits remain solid and aren’t entertaining offers from other schools. However, four-star linebacker Nick Abrams was a notable exception. He recently visited Michigan and seemed genuinely interested in potentially flipping to the Wolverines.

Fortunately for Georgia, a new report indicates that Abrams has decided to stay committed to the Bulldogs and is no longer pursuing Michigan as an option.

According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, Nick Abrams is rated as the No. 291 overall prospect in the nation. He also ranks as the No. 20 linebacker in the 2026 class and the No. 8 player in the state of Maryland.

Abrams committed to Georgia on July 16, choosing the Bulldogs over top programs like Alabama, Oregon, and Michigan. While it wasn’t surprising that Michigan continued to pursue him—given the strong relationship they built during his recruitment—it was unexpected to see him actually visit Ann Arbor. Fortunately for Georgia, that visit didn’t lead to a change of heart, as Abrams now appears fully locked in with the Bulldogs.

Georgia currently holds commitments from 31 players, giving them the No. 2 recruiting class in the nation. With only USC ahead of them, the Bulldogs boast the top-ranked class in the SEC.

UGA is still pursuing a few more key targets before the cycle wraps up, and if things go as planned, they could finish with the No. 1 overall class in the country.
