Believe in the South Side’ Exciting As The Chicago White Sox Receive Another Good News Following Recent Incident

Pope Leo XIV proved his loyalty to the Chicago White Sox after being trolled by a Cubs fan at the Vatican. “Go Cubs!” one man shouted to the passing Pope Mobile on Wednesday, October 15. Pope Leo — a native of the Windy City — paused his papal wave to shout back, “Han perdido!” “They lost!” the religious leader translated.

The Chicago Cubs lost to the Milwaukee Brewers in Game 5 of the NLDS last week, a heartbreaking end to their successful season. The video quickly went viral as fans couldn’t believe the leader of the Catholic church was so in the know on current sporting events. “As a Cubs fan I don’t like this. As a fan of people being genuine and true and loyal, I love it,” one social media user tweeted in response to the White Sox sharing the clip. “Cubs fans about to boycott church now lol,” another joked. “At least the Cubs were in the playoffs,” yet another wrote, alluding to the White Sox having missed the playoffs for the fourth year in a row.

After Pope Leo was selected as the first American leader of the Catholic church earlier this year, the Chicago Cubs quickly claimed him as their own. However, his brother, John Prevost, clarified, “He was never, ever a Cubs fan.” “Whoever said Cubs on the radio got it wrong,” John Prevost said. “It’s Sox.”
