James Maddison and Min-Hyeok Yang: Post-Match Moment

James Maddison, who came on in the second half, was seen with new Spurs signing Yang Min-hyeok after the game.

Tottenham recently confirmed Yang’s transfer, making him the third addition of the summer window. However, the young South Korean will remain on loan at Gangwon FC until January 2025.

Yang’s performance in the first half showcased why Spurs were keen on him, as he notably gave Emerson Royal a tough time.

After the final whistle, the players did a lap of appreciation for the 63,000-strong crowd in Seoul. During this time, Maddison was seen with his arm around the 18-year-old Yang, engaged in a lengthy conversation.

While the details of their discussion remain unknown, it’s clear that Maddison was impressed by Yang’s display.

Heung-min Son’s Advice for Yang Min-hyeok

Heung-min Son, Tottenham’s captain, has also shared his insights about Yang Min-hyeok. Having experienced the transition to Spurs himself, Son understands what Yang will encounter.

Although Son had a slightly smoother transition due to his previous stint in Europe with Bayer Leverkusen, Yang’s move will be a significant step.

Son met Yang in Seoul earlier this week and offered some advice. “Obviously, he’s very young and hasn’t finished high school yet. It feels like I’m getting old,” Son remarked. “I told him to practice his English, as he’ll need it when he moves to England.

He’s an amazing talent, and I’m looking forward to seeing him in a Spurs kit.”

As Yang prepares for his move to London, his development and future contributions to Spurs are highly anticipated.
