In the 1970s, Neil Diamond had a brief career as a film actor. He appeared in two movies, “The Last Waltz” and “The Jazz Singer,” which was based on his own life.
Neil Diamond was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1984, but he didn’t attend the ceremony. Instead, he sent a letter saying that he was grateful for the honor but that he preferred to let his songs speak for themselves.
