Bayern Munich book medical for Harry Kane

Bayern Munich have reportedly booked medical tests for Harry Kane, hoping that Tottenham accepts their latest proposal for the striker.

According to London World, Bayern Munich have already booked medicals for Harry Kane in the hope of signing the striker. They are yet to agree on a fee with Tottenham after submitting a third offer during the week. Daniel Levy’s decision in the coming days could significantly impact the striker’s future.

Bayern Munich could potentially walk away from the Harry Kane deal if Daniel Levy does not change his stance regarding the striker’s future. The Bavarians have been extremely serious about signing the England captain and have prolonged negotiations with Tottenham all this while.

The saga has been intriguing in many ways, with Bayern very confident of sealing the transfer from the get-go. They saw two bids rejected by Tottenham for the striker and continued to hold conversations with Levy to find a solution.

Reports insisted Bayern had submitted a third bid worth more than £85 million, but the outcome remains unclear. The Bundesliga side’s chiefs held talks with Levy during the week and decided on this new proposal.

Being confident is one thing, but booking medicals in anticipation is another, as Bayern have done that expecting a positive outcome to this saga. Kane, meanwhile, had reportedly indicated he would not want to disrupt Tottenham’s preparations and set a deadline, as per some media outlets.

The idea behind this is to have an excellent start to the season, and if Tottenham performs well under Ange Postecoglou, Kane might even sign a new contract. Bayern are also open to walking away from the deal if Levy insists the striker isn’t up for sale.

Moreover, they could cancel negotiations altogether if Levy continues to demand £100 million for the 30-year-old Tottenham fan favourite. Recent reports suggested that Carlo Ancelotti also pondered asking his club a chance to sign the striker, but Real Madrid have apparently rejected the idea.

Hence, from Tottenham’s perspective, they are coming under pressure to decide on Kane. They either accept Bayern’s latest offer or risk heading into the season with the 30-year-old potentially leaving on a free transfer next summer.
