Madrid has no reason to play. They’ve already won La Liga and are preparing for their Champions League final against Liverpool on May 28th in Paris. They’ll use their remaining games as a type of warm-up for the crucial match at the Stade de France.
Levante, on the other hand, has nothing to lose and everything to gain. They are currently in 19th place in La Liga but have yet to be relegated. They might come within three points of Cadiz and safety with six games remaining if they beat Madrid and other results go their way.
Carlo Ancelotti spoke to the media this afternoon to preview the game and was questioned about Erling Haaland, who had just joined Manchester City the day before. Madrid was connected with the Norwegian, but Ancelotti stated that he is satisfied with his current group.
When asked about Haaland’s relocation, he answered, “Pff, I don’t really like to talk about this,” according to Marca. “He’s a fantastic player, and City is a fantastic club, but I’m sticking with my current group.” They’ve guided me to yet another Champions League final.”
