‘NOT CONVINCED’: TONY CASCARINO TELLS £70M-RATED PLAYER NOT TO JOIN LIVERPOOL

TalkSPORT pundit Tony Cascarino has said that Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount should not join Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool in the summer transfer window.

The former Chelsea player has written in The Times that he is not convinced that Liverpool would be the best club for Mason Mount.

Cascarino has suggested that Arsenal would be a better club than Liverpool for the 24-year-old England international midfielder, who is valued at £70 million by Chelsea, according to GiveMeSport.

90min reported this month that Liverpool are interested in signing Mason Mount from Chelsea in the summer transfer window.

Cascarino wrote: “I’m not convinced Liverpool will be the best solution for him because Liverpool haven’t had an ambitious midfield recently.

“They have enough up front, so they don’t have to risk another body from midfield, but they have lost three midfielders in Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, James Milner and Naby Keïta, so Jürgen Klopp is looking for one. Liverpool is, without a doubt, a close second to Arsenal for Mount.”

Mason Mount sound consider Liverpool transfer
In our view, Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount should consider a move to Liverpool in the summer transfer window.

Liverpool do need dynamic and energetic players in the middle of the season, and we believe that Mount would be a good fit.

Yes, Mount is best used in an attacking midfield role, but Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp could modify his game or change his tactics.

If Liverpool make a bid for Mount, then the Chelsea midfielder has to seriously consider it.

After all, the Reds are a big club and a global brand, and they will be keen on challenging for the Premier League title next season.
