PLAYER LIVERPOOL REPORTEDLY WANT TO SIGN WATCHED MANCHESTER UNITED IN FA CUP ACTION

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool and Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United have been linked with Jurrien Timber, and the Ajax defender was spotted at Wembley Stadium for the FA Cup final on Saturday.

90min reported in March that Liverpool and Manchester United are keen on signing Jurrien Timber from Ajax in the summer transfer window.

Tottenham Hotspur are also interested in the 21-year-old defender, according to the report.

Liverpool and Manchester United target Jurrien Timber spotted at FA Cup final at Wembley
There is speculation over the future of Harry Maguire, while Liverpool could do with signing a young defender to play alongside Virgil van Dijk and perhaps even to compete with the Netherlands international.

Manchester United were in action against Manchester City in the final of the FA Cup on Saturday.

And, as reported by journalist Fredrik A. Filtvedt on Twitter, Timber was spotted at Wembley Stadium.

Now, of course, we should not read too much into this.

After all, the 21-year-old Netherlands international could well have just wanted to watch the final and gone to Wembley Stadium.

However, given that United were in action in the final and have been linked with the defender, Old Trafford faithful will be wondering if it could be related to a potential move.

Liverpool fans will hope not.

Timber scored two goals and gave two assists in 34 Eredivisie matches and played six times in the UEFA Champions League and twice in the UEFA Europa League for Ajax this season.
