REPORT: 23-YEAR-OLD HAS DECIDED NOT TO JOIN LIVERPOOL THIS SUMMER

Torino defender Perr Schuurs has decided not to make the move to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.

According to Tuttosport, Liverpool want to sign Perr Schuurs from Torino in the summer transfer window.

However, the 23-year-old central defender has decided to stay in Turin for another season at least.

Tuttosport have quoted Schuurs’s entourage as saying that the youngster will “100%” stay at Torino next season.

According to the report, the Dutch defender wants to grow and develop as a player, and he believes that he would be able to do that best at Torino.

Could Liverpool still sign Perr Schuurs from Torino?
In our view, Liverpool could still be able to sign Perr Schuurs from Torino in the summer transfer window.

Yes, Schuurs feels comfortable at Torino now and wants to continue his progress at the Italian club, but that does not mean that Liverpool will not be able to change his mind in the coming weeks.

The summer transfer window is long, and anything is possible.

Liverpool are a massive club and a global brand, and they have Schuurs’s Dutch compatriot in Virgil van Dijk.

Van Dijk is one of the best defenders around, and the chance to play alongside the Netherlands international could be very appealing to Schuurs.

Schuurs has made 27 starts and two substitute appearances in Serie A for Torino this season.

The 23-year-old Dutchman has given two assists in those games.
