REPORT: AFTER ALEXIS MAC ALLISTER DEAL, LIVERPOOL COULD MAKE £34.5M BID FOR ‘VERY SPECIAL’ PLAYER

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool have reportedly wrapped up a deal to sign Alexis Mac Allister, and now they are going after Barcelona midfielder Franck Kessie.

InterLive have reported that Liverpool are interested in signing Franck Kessie from Barcelona in the summer transfer window.

The Premier League club could reportedly make a bid of €35-€40 million (£30.16-£34.47 million) for the 26-year-old Ivory Coast international midfielder, described as a “very special” and a “very, very good” player by former Chelsea star Pat Nevin on BBC Radio 5 Live Sport in December 2021.

Serie A club Inter Milan, who will play in the final of the UEFA Champions League this season, are also keen on Kessie, according to InterLive.

The Times have reported that Liverpool are set to complete the signing of Argentina international midfielder Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton and Hove Albion this week.

And it seems that the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners want Kessie next.

Could Liverpool sign Franck Kessie from Barcelona?
In our view, Liverpool could be able to sign Franck Kessie from Barcelona in the summer transfer window if they are willing to pay £34.5 million for him.

Kessie joined Barcelona in the summer of 2022 on a free transfer after leaving AC Milan.

So, the La Liga champions could make a good profit on him now.

While Kessie is a very good player, the Ivory Coast international midfielder did not have the best of debut seasons for Barcelona and could not always fit into the way that head coach Xavi played his football.

The Barcelona no. 19 made seven starts and 21 substitute appearances in La Liga, two appearances in the UEFA Europa League, and three starts and three substitute appearances in the UEFA Champions League for Barcelona this campaign.
