Tottenham ‘will do everything possible’ to sign Ange’s target – Spurs manager ‘very keen’, €35m fee

Fenerbahçe’s Sebastian Szymański has been identified as a transfer target for Tottenham Hotspur, according to a report from Turkey.

Operating mainly as an attacking midfielder and at times in the middle of the pitch, he’s scored 12 goals and registered 14 assists from 33 games this season. This has seen him draw attention from European clubs, including Spurs.

That’s according to Star Gazetesi, who state Tottenham scouts watched the 24-year-old in action against Samsunspor on Sunday and will submit a report on him.

The Poland international played 80 minutes in his side’s 1-1 draw and didn’t manage to score a goal or register an assist.
It’s claimed Ange Postecoglou is ‘very keen’ on the player and wants to have him at his disposal next season. The report further adds the north London club ‘will do everything possible’ from their end to try and secure Szymański’s services.

The Yellow Canaries invested €9.75m to sign the Pole from Dynamo Moscow last summer and offered him a contract until 2027. Star Gazetesi state Fenerbahçe’s management are expecting to collect €35m from his sale, which will be firmly on the optimistic side.

Tottenham won’t meet that request, almost certainly, but then it’s at the outside range of an asking price.
