Twist as club switch from Tottenham player to Manchester United outcast in late transfer move

Wednesday has been quite active for Tottenham and Manchester United on the transfer market, as the two clubs are trying to offload some deadweight.

We covered a report earlier on in the day stating that Spurs had reached an agreement with Genoa for the loan of Tanguy Ndombélé, but the player needed some convincing.

Well, these struggles to get the Frenchman to accept have seen the Serie A side move onto another target, this time one at Manchester United, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

The Italian journalist took to Twitter to reveal that because Ndombélé ‘wants a team that plays in the Champions League’, they have turned their attention to Donny van de Beek.

It’s said the Italian club have made an ‘attempt’ with Manchester United to get the Dutchman on loan, who is also a target for Lorient in France.

However, there are some doubts as to whether they can get something done, and Di Marzio states that, as things stand, the most likely option for them would be the arrival of Galatasaray’s 25-year-old midfielder Berkan Kutlu.

We’ll have to wait and see, but it’s not every day that you see Genoa go after two players from the Premier League, especially form clubs such as Tottenham and Manchester United.
